We all have bad days and days we feel sad or depressed for no reason, It might be because of people, circumstances,life or you don’t just feel good about yourself and most times it seems like nothing is going right. I have been there and I really want to share 10 ways I tried my best to get out of it. Out of these 10 you can pick the ones that you can do because you owe it to yourself and your family to try.
Meditation: Take time out to meditate and pray, read your bible,put on some praise and worship music and sing praises to God. Watch Inspirational videos and preachings online. Try Joel Osteen, Joys Meyer, Steven Furtick, T.D Jakes and many others.
Be Grateful, Laugh, Celebrate: Be grateful for what you have and even though things are bad, you can breathe,use your legs and your hands, get out of bed which some other people can’t. Be grateful for sunrise, sunset and the amazing people around you. Laugh and seek ways to make you laugh, watch skits on social media, youtube wherever. Celebrate the good things you have, go out with good friends to eat, watch movies, spoil yourself, go for picnics,concert because remember you have only one life and you don’t want to waste it being sad.
Take a walk and practise positive thinking: The fresh air and sunrise will do you good. Be positive, stop telling yourself you will fail or things won’t get better Instead keep saying I will win, I am beautiful, this business deal will go through, money will come and trust me you will feel very good as time goes on.
Get dressed and put on makeup: sometimes you need to look amazing.
Listen to good comedians on youtube or watch cartoons: kelvin hart is my fav, I also watch cartoons or just look for funny comedy’s on youtube.
Take a nap: 30 minutes of sleep and you will feel amazing.
Do something nice for someone else and the less fortunate: A lot of people need help that I am sure you can give, volunteer at the homeless shelter, visit the orphanage, give to beggars on the road, help friends and family.
Drink some water and eat something healthy: I have noticed this works for me and I still don’t know why but it helps and also workout.
Log off social media: I do this a lot and chances are you might feel even worse for a while but trust me it gets better.
Spend time doing a favourite hobby: what do you love to do that you haven’t done in a while. Is it painting,singing, dancing, take sometime off everyday to do it.
Alright guys, thats 10 different ways to feel better when having a bad day. hopefully one works but if not there’s always tomorrow, do not overthink it.
You are thinking what has the pictures got to do with all she talked about, well this was my own way of getting over a bad month. I had a stressful month and it got to a point I was like God why are u so far away from me but then I did a lot of these steps and I felt better and I had to do something different and exciting.
So after church Sunday I decided to go for a little picnic with a friend to get fresh air, have fun and look at happy people and guess what? I turned it into a photoshoot because fashion blogger problems* lol.
I wanted to look like a semi princess so I went for all white with a dress and kimono with my straw hat and basket and a little flower headband.
Went with bananas and drinks, magazines and my Jamoji speakers.
I couldn’t decide if I liked the flowerhead band better or the hat. which do you guys prefer? and how do you get over bad days?
