Watch Movies Or Series
Put on one of your favourite movies or series, I do this a lot and watching series like friends or big bang theory helps me relax because I basically laugh a lot. Go on Netflix look for a comedy or a romantic movie you love and watch how you end up feeling amazing and by the way I am not asking you to go watch a horror movie that makes you anxious and then you will end up finding it hard to sleep.
And no I am not talking about law books or school books lol! An Inspirational book will do or any book you’ve always wanted to read or a magazine, Just put technology aside and pick up a book. It can actually calm you down and it’s a perfect escape from reality.
Getting 30 minutes of exercise a day can really help calm your body, you could just run or do yoga or whatever, I really don’t like exercises but I always feel amazing when I do them and I end up getting obsessed till I am tired of it lol! but seriously…never get tired. Always exercise like 3 times a week, look for a gym close to you and register and you never know..you might meet a cute guy there 😀
Having a healthy sleep schedule can help you feel less stressed and most times when I am really stressed it’s because I haven’t slept well in weeks and immediately I try to sleep early and try to get enough sleep, I feel more relaxed during the day and I am always energised and equipped to handle any responsibility thrown at me that day and most Importantly, before you sleep avoid caffeine or spicy food.
Take a Very Long Shower
Just stay in the shower for a very long time, Infact dance if you have to and you will feel refreshed after.
Listen to music..Music helps a lot and you feel relaxed and think of amazing, happy things but this depends on the type you listen to. find something comfortable, dim the lights and lose yourself in your favourite music. I normally like gospel songs when I am in a very bad state because I need to feel uplifted and happy and this works for me on so many levels. And then try to empty your mind of everything else by just focusing on the sound.
Do Something You Love
you might love writing or Arts and craft or anything else but just do whatever makes you happy and excited, look for exciting new things to do, maybe play with your camera or cooking, painting e.t.c but Just look for something that makes you happy.
